Chapter History

The Beta Eta Chapter of Phi Mu was colonized at Miami University in the Spring of 1976. The founding pledge class created a welcoming organization that has changed the lives of hundreds of women who have been initiated into this sisterhood. In 1994, the Beta Eta Chapter voted to close their doors due to struggles with the intent of having the organization open again in the future. In 2003, the University voted to allow the re-colonization of the Phi Mu Chapter. Over the past twelve years, the Chapter has grown into a strong sorority within the large Greek Community at Miami University. We have earned a positive name for our Chapter and continue to improve in all areas.
